Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information to provide services and goods are:
- Contract – we have to collect or use the information so we can enter into or carry out a contract with you. All of your data protection rights may apply except the right to object.
- Legitimate interests – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:
- To photograph wedding guests Lawes Photography will be operating within the parameters of legitimate interest as laid out in the GDPR legislation. Guests at weddings appear as part of the visual recording of the event, including those in formal group pictures. The reason for this is due to the disproportionate effort required to obtain consent from all wedding guests at the event and to do so would distract us from performing our job and therefore renders infeasible to do so. Our Wedding Clients are therefore requested to advise their guests before the day that they may be photographed on the basis of legitimate interest under the GDPR and if any of their guests do not wish to be photographed, to make themselves known to us on the day. Please be assured if any client or guest wishes us to remove a picture from our website, please contact us at info@lawesphotography.co.uk, stating which picture they would like to be removed and we will be happy to comply.
